Freshers Week

Below is the timetable for Freshers’ Week. Things may change a little bit as last minute preparations are made, but we’ll keep this version up to date so you can continue to refer to it once you get here. This is a Google Calendar, so you can also subscribe to it for reminders and updates, if that’s the sort of thing you’re into.

Saturday 3rd

  • Arrivals Party ( 9:30am to 5:00pm )
  • Tours of College ( 3:00pm to 5:00pm ) Meet at Reception for a tour of college, running throughout the afternoon.
  • BBQ ( 6:30pm to 8:00pm )
  • Quiz Night ( 8:00pm to 10:00pm )
  • Chillout Lounge ( 10:00pm to 12:00am ) A more relaxed evening back at college for those not wanting to head out.
  • Night Out ( 10:00pm to 2:00am ) A trip out to one of Durham's finest bars!

Sunday 4th

  • Arrivals Party ( 9:30am to 5:00pm )
  • Distinctly Average North Run ( 10:00am to 11:00am ) Making absolutely no effort to be as good as the Great North Run.
  • BBQ ( 1:00pm to 4:00pm ) Arrivals Party BBQ on the Forecourt
  • Browns Boats ( 2:00pm to 3:00pm ) Details TBC
  • Tours of College ( 3:00pm to 5:00pm ) Meet at Reception for a tour of college, running throughout the afternoon.
  • Meet Your Rep ( 5:00pm to 6:00pm ) Meet your Corridor Frep who will check in on you during the week to make sure everything is going ok!
  • Tutors Dinner ( 6:15pm to 9:00pm ) Meet your college tutor over dinner!
  • Comedy Night ( 10:30pm to 11:30pm ) Enjoy a night of comedy from some of Mildert's finest.
  • Loveshack ( 11:30pm to 2:00am ) Trip to Durham's biggest club, Loveshack.
